Here at Sycal, we’re always looking out for green innovations and initiatives to help lower our impact on the environment.

That’s why we partnered with Ecologi. Ecologi is a fantastic organisation that plant trees and fund environment-focused project across the globe to combat the climate crisis. Now, with over 19,500 businesses and 40,000 individual members, Ecologi has successfully funded the planting of 67.3 million trees across 43 countries and helped avoid the usage of 2.7 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

For every single purchase made at Sycal (over the value of £750), we will fund the planting of 25 trees. As of July 2023, we are proud to announce that we have officially helped fund our 15,000th tree with Ecologi!

Working alongside numerous trusted climate projects such as Eden Reforestation Projects, Trees for the Future, and Verified Carbon Standard, Ecologi has become the benchmark for reforestation and we’re proud to be a member.

As well as tree planting, we have also funded Ecologi projects designed to offset the carbon immissions of our staff. This funding has gone into such projects as:

So far, we’ve helped offset 112.6 tonnes of CO2e and funded the planting of 16,005 trees! The aforementioned Eden Reforestation Project ensures that all of the workers planting the trees are provided with fair wages designed to help boost the socioeconomic in impoverished villages.

With every order at Sycal, we fund the planting of 25 trees in Mozambique, Kenya, Madagascar, Tanzania, and Argentina. In our mangrove restoration projects, our trees have a survival rate of 80%+, however, between the ages of 3-5 these trees begin to produce their own propagules resulting in natural regeneration.
