At Sycal, we are committed to running our organisation in a manner which is deemed ethical, environmentally conscious, and socially responsible. From our sourcing and manufacturing processes to the way in which we build and maintain relationships, we are proud to adhere to principles that ensure our company acts responsibly, both internally and externally.
Planting trees to help lower our environmental impact
Over the last decade, we’ve been finding new ways to lower our environmental impact and help provide new ways to source promotional merchandise in an environmentally conscious manner.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Ecologi, an environmental focussed organisation that are planting trees across the globe to help with the climate crisis. As of September 1st 2021, for every order placed over £750 we will plant 10 trees in The Sycal Forests in Mozambique, Madagascar, and Nicaragua.
Once we have arranged the planting of your trees, you’ll receive an invitation to see them grow in the virtual version of The Sycal Forest, representing our efforts to help reduce carbon emissions.
Not only this, but we are carbon offsetting our staff, saving 7.06 tonnes of CO2e per month. These funds directly go to reforestation and carbon offset projects across the globe, including helping produce solar energy farms in Vietnam, wind energy in Bulgaria, converting landfill gas to energy in Northern Turkey, as well as protecting and restoring the Pacific Coast of Columbia.
Every single tree in The Sycal Forest is planted responsibly with The Eden Restoration Projects. Their mission is to recreate healthy forest systems, alleviate suffering, empower people, and build local economies in impoverished communities. They hire and train members of the local communities to plant and maintain tree seedlings, resulting in positive socioeconomic and environmental outcomes.
The seedlings planted have a survival rate of 80%, ensuring that your purchase has a great opportunity to survive and thrive whilst absorbing carbon dioxide.

Environmental
At Sycal, we conduct our business in a manner deemed as environmentally conscious as possible on a daily basis. We are aware of our environmental impact, and are continuously looking for new ways to reduce it.
We ensure that all of our recyclable materials are recycled properly, and that all potentially wasted materials are minimised and disposed of in the proper manner. Due to our reliance on shipping and delivery, we make sure that all of our logistics providers are either carbon neutral, or actively taking steps to lower their environmental impact.
We will continue to actively promote our eco-friendly, reusable and recyclable product ranges to help our clients choose more environmentally responsible merchandise options.
Ethical Transparency
We ensure that our company operates transparently at all times. Whether it regards our products, supply chain or our values, we strive to be transparent and honest with our clients, customers and staff. We ensure that our clients’ ethical values are not compromised by our product ranges and will only source merchandise that will represent their environmental identity.
We ensure that every part of our supply chain complies with all industry and national laws, as well as the principles of the International Labour Laws (ILO) and the Ethical Trading Imitative (ETI). As a company committed to eliminating child labour worldwide, we have taken measures to ensure that any part of our supply chain does not employ these practices.
We are a proud member of Sedex and source goods from other Sedex members wherever possible.
