Sycal 40th Anniversary

Celebrating four decades of branded merchandise solutions

The year was 1983. The one-pound coin had just been introduced, Return of the Jedi was in the cinema, Karma Chameleon was topping the charts, and three business professionals put their heads together to create a new organisation.

Founded in Bedford on 10th June 1983, Keith, Elizabeth, and Stephen named their company Sycal, an amalgamation of their children’s names.

Sycal didn’t start as a promotional and branded merchandise supplier. Instead, the company found its roots in the manufacturing, repair, and printing of umbrellas and parasols. Slowly over time, Sycal grew beyond parasols and diversified its offerings to help meet its customers’ requirements.

Months prior to our 30th anniversary, the ownership of Sycal changed hands and has continued to grow for the last decade.

Fast forward to today and Sycal is still going strong at our new HQ in Bedford.

Today, there are very few products we can’t produce…. even new parasols and umbrellas. With in-house printing, embroidery, and engraving, your next promotional marketing opportunities are endless.

Alongside, our offices, we now have an on-site warehouse, allowing us to offer our customers complimentary storage solutions. Storage, drop shipping, and fulfilment are now available at the click of a button. To find out more, click here.

With such a large milestone, we’re celebrating in style.
